Location: Chaithanya Oakville, Bangalore
Size: 3030 sq feet
My role: I was a part of a two member team from Treelight Design and a lead for this project. I was involved throughout the concept, design and initial execution stages.
The Client is a vivacious lady with an extensive and growing art collection from all over the world. She has a beautiful four bedroom duplex villa with a pool and an outdoor area. She wanted an environment to let her art shine but keep the space low maintenance as well. The apartment has been designed to have references from her hometown Kolkata like the louvered windows and black and white flooring.
Challenges:

Design a space to complement the art she wishes to display in each area.

Treatment of door and windows to provide privacy like wood shutters for windows and cane jaali for the skylights.

A substantial amount of furniture is from her private collection as well, which had to be reused in this home.
